Mumbai: Jamari, who had won the Bangalore Derby last Friday, is attempting to win the HPSL Indian Derby within a space of 10 days. Not an impossible task considering many in the past have achieved this feat but certainly not an easy one for a filly. But Pesi Shroff’s ward is all set for that.
“She has taken her travel well and she is really preparing well,” trainer Shroff told TOI on Friday. “She is used to travelling and has raced on different tracks. She is a tough filly,” added the former top jockey who will be looking to land his fourth Indian Derby crown as trainer.
“We wanted to take her to Mumbai and see how she feels,” said Jamari’s owner Khushroo Dhunjibhoy. “She has really picked up well in Mumbai in such a short time and we are very confident she will have a bold show,” stated the former chairman of RWITC. “I think the biggest challenge for Jamari will come from Jendayi and Christofle is really coming up well,” said Dhunjibhoy.
