American Airlines is adding new routes to popular destinations like Mexico, Brazil, Hawaii, and Australia next northern winter so customers can warm up on those beautiful beaches and bright landscapes.
New American Airlines routes to Brisbane in October and Veracruz, Mexico, in June, will be available out of Dallas–Fort Worth. For the next northern winter season, American Airlines will restore service to Kona, Hawaii and introduce a new service to Rio de Janeiro from Dallas.
“American is thrilled to grow our international network to give customers more ways to escape the cold next winter,” said Brian Znotins, Senior Vice President of Network and Schedule Planning. “Together with Qantas, customers can enjoy more ways to explore new destinations across one of the most comprehensive networks connecting the United States and the South Pacific.”
New areas to visit are even more rewarding as an AAdvantage® member, with the opportunity to earn miles and Loyalty Points through flying and beyond. Tickets for these additional flights will be available for purchase on aa.com and the American Airlines mobile app beginning February 5.
Beginning in October, American Airlines will operate its first regularly scheduled flights between DFW and BNE. This new service, which will debut from America’s largest hub, will allow one-stop connections to BNE from over 100 destinations in the United States that presently need at least two stops. Brisbane and Queensland are known for their stunning beaches, world-famous zoos, vibrant cultural scene, and 280 days of sunshine annually.
When American’s seasonal service begins, it will be the longest nonstop flight on the airline’s network. Customers can enhance their premium experience by flying on American’s newly built Boeing 787-9 aircraft, which has 51 Flagship Suite® seats and 32 Premium Economy seats.
The joint venture between American and Qantas continues to provide customers with one of the most comprehensive networks linking North America, Australia, and New Zealand. Next winter, the partnership will offer service from Los Angeles (LAX), San Francisco (SFO), New York (JFK), and Vancouver, Canada (YVR) to four major gateways in Australia and New Zealand: Auckland (AKL), Brisbane (BNE), Melbourne (MEL), and Sydney (SYD).
Customers will be able to connect to more than 200 destinations in the United States and almost 70 destinations in Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific, making this the most extensive partnership of its kind.
