Marriott is doubling-down on their new relationship with MGM Resorts, opening the door for BetMGM customers to roll over points into Marriott Bonvoy points.
Marriott is adding to their partnership with MGM Resorts, allowing players to transfer points even when they aren’t at one of the properties.
The companies announced a new partnership with sports betting platform BetMGM to allow gamers to transfer their rewards points into Marriott Bonvoy.
Sports Bettors Can Exchange Up to 100,000 Points Each Year
Under the new agreement, members of both Marriott Bonvoy and BetMGM can link their accounts beginning on March 18, 2024. The companies say members who do link accounts can “participate in exclusive games, experiences, and offers on the BetMGM platform.
More importantly, those on the sports betting site and app can use their linked accounts to turn BetMGM Rewards points into Marriott Bonvoy points. Travelers can exchange up to 100,000 BetMGM Rewards points annually for Marriott Bonvoy points at a ratio of one-to-one.
“This landmark collaboration between Marriott Bonvoy and BetMGM goes beyond hospitality and gaming, unlocking new opportunities for members to ignite their passions and deepen connections with the people and places they love,” Peggy Roe, executive vice president and chief customer officer for Marriott said in a press release. “We are excited to welcome BetMGM members with more global access to more than 30 hotel brands,10,000 locations and a growing portfolio of exclusive and curated member experiences including sports, music, art, and culinary events around the world.”
To launch the new partnership, Marriott Bonvoy and BetMGM are offering one member who links their accounts together by April 8, 2024, an ultimate Los Angeles getaway. The sweepstakes winner and three friends will get a one-on-one golf experience with NBA star Blake Griffin, along with airfare and a three-night stay at the Santa Monica Proper, a member of Design Hotels. Guests will also get to dine at Griffin’s favorite restaurants and get box tickets to a comedy show.
The move is the latest integration between Marriott and MGM Resorts since partnering in July 2023. Other opportunities between the two include exclusive “Bonvoy Experiences,” including the opportunity to choreograph one night of the Bellagio fountain show.
