According to The Sandals Resorts’ Institute of Romance, a recent study showed that 67% of people are looking for a getaway for two instead of a physical gift this year. Women in particular rated it as their top choice (66%). And in another survey from GetYourGuide of a subset of the population, 92% of Americans prefer experiential gifts.
The latest tech gadgets or fine wine are tried-and-tested presents, but going the extra mile (literally) might be a nice upgrade for Valentine’s Day 2024.
New Romantic Experiences at St. Regis Maldives
Lovebirds bound for the Maldives will find new spa treatments at Iridium Spa at the St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort. Two new romantic spa packages are available for guests staying between Feb. 10-20. They include the Ying Yang Serenity, which offers a couples massage followed by rose petal bath with Champagne. Another option is the Harmony Escape, which follows the couples massage with an express facial. There’s also a six-course Vommuli Signature Valentine dinner with bottle of Champagne, roses and chocolates. Guests that book the Valentine’s Romance Journey comes with breakfast on the water plus a private beach dinner with dedicated chef serving six courses paired with Dom Perignon Brut Rosé Champagne.
Room 90 package with Tivoli Hotels
To celebrate Tivoli Hotels’ 90th anniversary, this special promotion gives guests the opportunity to stay in a top suite and enjoy local cultural experiences. At Lisbon’s Tivoli Avenida Liberdade, it includes two nights in the Presidential Suite, roundtrip chauffeur transportation from the airport, in-room breakfast, local port and Godiva chocolates. Tryall Club, a luxury private club in Montego Bay, boasts a new spa designed by Jamaican architects and artists. The flights feature fully flat-bed seats, impressive meals, complimentary Wi-Fi and the feeling of a private plane since there are only a few dozen passengers on each flight.
