The Guinness Storehouse first opened as a tourist attraction in 2000, but has evolved enormously since, even adding a €20m extension to its iconic Gravity Bar.
Last year, it welcomed over 1.5m visitors from 165 countries, serving over 1,235,237 pints of Guinness in the process.
“It has something new every time,” readers said of the St James’s gate attraction — from gigs and summer “festival vibes” to ‘Stouties’ that allow visitors have selfies imprinted onto pints. Views from its 360-degree Gravity Bar were a highlight for many.
Both stout and tourism attraction are “the essence of Ireland” readers told us, amounting to an experience “no trip to Dublin is complete without”.
Perhaps the ultimate accolade?
“I don’t even like Guinness, but this visitor centre is epic and I always bring/send visitors here.”
